What is tallow skincare?

Tallow is a nutrient-rich fat rendered from the fat that naturally surrounds the organs of the cow. Traditionally used in skincare, it is deeply moisturizing and highly compatible with human skin. Because it closely mimics the oils naturally found in our skin, tallow is exceptionally nourishing, gentle, and effective at supporting the skin barrier and locking in moisture.

Where does your tallow come from?

We use locally sourced Alberta beef tallow, rendered by hand in small batches. This ensures purity, quality, and a clean ingredient profile free from chemical processing.

What ingredients do you use?

Our whipped tallow and sugar scrubs are made with simple, natural ingredients such as:

  • Beef tallow
  • Jojoba oil
  • Arrowroot powder
  • Vitamin E
  • Essential oils (depending on the scent)
  • For scrubs: natural cane sugar
  • For lip balm: beeswax, tallow, and peppermint extract

We never use synthetic fragrances, chemicals, or fillers.

Is tallow safe for sensitive skin?

Yes — tallow is well-tolerated by most skin types, including sensitive or reactive skin.
For those with extremely sensitive skin, we recommend our Unscented option, made without essential oils.

Can I use your whipped tallow on my face?

Most of our formulas are safe for both face and body, with the exception of our Peppermint & Eucalyptus Foot Blend, which is not recommended for use around the eyes or face due to stronger essential oils.

How do I store my tallow products?

Keep your products at room temperature, away from direct heat or sunlight.
If exposed to high heat, whipped tallow may soften or melt — this won’t affect its quality, but the texture may change. You can firm it up by placing it in the fridge for 10–15 minutes.

How long do your products last?

Our tallow products typically last 6–12 months.
Because everything is natural and preservative-free, ensure you use clean, dry hands when scooping product from jars.

What size options do you offer?

  • Whipped Tallow: 2 oz or 4 oz

  • Whipped Tallow Sugar Scrub: 2 oz or 4 oz

  • Lip Balm: single tube

Are your products scented with fragrances?

No — we only use pure essential oils for scent, never synthetic fragrances.
Unscented options contain no added essential oils and naturally carry a light tallow or beeswax aroma.

Is tallow greasy?

Tallow is rich but absorbs more quickly than many plant oils.
A little goes a long way—start with a pea-sized amount and massage into the skin. Most customers describe the finish as silky, not oily.

Do you offer local pickup or shipping?

  • Local pickup: Available in Beaumont, AB by appointment, our team will reach out to set up a time upon receiving your order.

  • Shipping: We ship across Canada via Canada Post. Rates are calculated at checkout.

Are your products cruelty-free?

Yes — we use tallow that is a by-product of the Alberta farm industry, meaning no animals are ever raised or harmed specifically for tallow production. We do not test on animals.

Can I return or exchange my product?

Due to the nature of skincare products, all sales are final.
